This story is told from Adam's point of view. Why? The first story is all about Mia, and Mia is the main character. But maybe Gayle Forman is trying to show Adam's thoughts. This will make the book very interesting.(3)
Adam is now famous. Now that he is famous, there is a lot of pressure, and he has to rush every where. What about Mia? What happened to her. Why is he not mentioning anything about her? Did something happen?(4)
Now Adam lives in Los Angeles. Where is Mia? Does she still live in Oregon? Has she moved?(5)
Adam has a very rushed schedule. Right now he is on some tour in New York. He has always dreamed of being a success, but it seems like he doesn't like the fact that he has to be rushed, and gets really little time do be himself.(5)
Just as Adam is a rising star in the world of rock, Mia is also a rising star in Julliard. So they both did end up where they wanted to be. Adam has always dreamed of being a rock sensation, and Mia has always dreamed of being a star in Julliard.(18)
"There is a vague RUMOR that you and Mia were a couple in high school."(18-19)
So Adam and Mia DID break up!!! Why did they break up??? I don't think it was Adam who left her, I think it was Mia who left him. I think this because at the end of If I Stay, it explained how Mia had kept some secrets from Adam, and that she was a little unsure about her relationship with Adam. But Adam had no doubts about Mia, he always loved her. Or maybe I will find out that he even had some doubts.
Maybe that wasn't the reason Adam and Mia broke up. Maybe it was because they both had different goals in life. As I said earlier, Adam always wanted to be a rising star in the world of rock, and Mia always wanted to be a rising star in Julliard. So then Mia must have settled it by breaking up with him because she may have thought that they wouldn't be as close as they were since they were going different directions.(1-19) Hypothesis.
But if Mia and Adam had broken up, then how is the story going on? Will it be just about Adam's dreams coming true? Or will it be about Mia's dreams coming true from Adam's point of view? I think that Adam and Mia will bump into each other. Since they are in the same city, they may meet each other one way or another. So when they meet they may revisit their past. Hypothesis. (1-24)
Since Adam is now a rock star, he can't run a normal life. Even though this is what he wanted, he still isn't happy. His dreams have all finally come true, but I think that he is questioning that. He misses the privacy, the loose schedules, relaxing, and he even misses Mia. I can tell that this book is going to be very different than If I Stay. If I Stay is told from Mia's point of view. Mia is the main character, however Gayle Forman makes the other characters all have a very important role in the story. Where She Went is told from Adam's point of view. It shows how his life has completely changed, and possibly it will show how Mia's life has changed. If I Stay was all about Mia reflecting on her life, and deciding whether to live or die. If I Stay also showed both Adam, and Mia's hopes and dreams about becoming rising stars. But Where She Went is showing how both their dreams are backfiring. Adam is following his dream, but it is not turning out the way he wanted it to. Even though he is a rock star, he is missing out on a lot. When he was a teenager, he got to party, and relax, and do what normal people do. But now Adam has to rush, rush, rush. He can't relax that much, or party either. He is always on a tight schedule, and he doesn't even get enough time to sleep. Mia, I have yet to find out, but I predict that it will be the same case for her.(1-42)
Just like If I Stay, Where She Went uses the same type of structure of writing. As the story progresses, the narrator tells the back story of their life, or another person's life which can really affect the plot of the book. But however in If I Stay, the reason that Gayle Forman used the back stories was so that the reader can see how Mia is going to make a tough decision. But however in Where She Went, I predict from what I have read so far is that Gayle Forman will tell a back story from Adam's point of view will reflect on why him and Mia broke up. I predicted before that Mia and Adam will get back together, but again Adam might have to make a decision if he does want to. Both these books, If I Stay, and Where She Went can be quite similar in a way. Even though If I Stay tells about both Mia, and Adam's dreams but mostly about Mia and her life, and Where She Went is telling about how they are rethinking about following their dreams, however it is told from Adam's point of view. Where She Went is also showing how Adam and Mia broke up. These can both be similar because in If I Stay, it is about Mia making a decision to live or die. Where She Went could be about if Adam or Mia want to get back together. So both books show the theme of choice. Gayle Forman is trying to give readers the message of making the right choices.(1-50).
Since Adam, and Mia have seen each other for the first time in forever, they feel both relieved, and a little embarrassed. They both haven't seen each other in a very long time, and they both see that they have changed.(70)
I predict that they both will discover within themselves how much they have changed, and relive the past. That they will change even more.(70)
It still seems like Adam cares about Mia. It has always seemed like that throughout the book.(71)
Adam always describes Mia, and what she is doing. He is describing it in a very optimistic way. For example, " I just chase the cigarette until the flame flashes across her eyes and lights the tip."(71)
Gayle Forman wrote the book like Adam is the one telling it. She wrote the first book from the prospect of Mia and she was the main character. I think she was writing this book in Adam's prospective because she wants to show the readers the thoughts that Adam had from the first book and his thoughts of what might happen. (3)
Adam has become famous and he is nervous for everything that's ahead. He has not mentioned Mia yet so will she exist in this book? Where is she? How is she after the coma?
Adam now lives in LA and he is extremely popular. Everywhere he go there is a crowd waiting for him. Adam always wanted a life like this but it seems like he is so rushed that he is having problems with his nerves (5)
Forman wrote half a page on all the things Adam has to do. He has one thing to do after the other with no brakes or having time for himself. All he is living is his famous life. Adam looks tired and jittery and like he wants to be famous but does not want to go through all these meetings. (6-7)
In If I Stay Mia talks about Adam as a kind-hearted person that is loving and understandable. Now Adam seems to be an obnoxious op star that just wants to complain. (9)
It seems like Adam really misses Mia because he does not feel comfortable taking about her. (20)
Mia went to Julliard and now plays in concerts. I think that Adam going and watching her concert will bring them back together.(37)
Adam is filling the readers in on what they missed for the three years that no book was written about. The first book ended with Adam saying "Mia?" I remembered that line because I was really excited to read what happens next. I thought that this book would continue on from that line but instead the Forman skipped 3 years so I'm really curious to see what happened right after Mia woke up
I noticed how before each chapter their are 4 lines of lyrics from Adam's songs
In a way everything thing that has happened to Adam happened because of Mia. Adam met Bryn because of Mia (81)
Adam seems to care a lot about Mia but is having some mixed emotions toward her after he sits down to talk to her. (101)
Adam tells the story by switching off between talking about the band and then talking about Mia. It sounds like after he has seen Mia after 3 years he is even more unsure about his life. Adam started the book by talking about how he talks himself into getting out of his bed and now it becomes even more complicated on him. (131)
Adam is telling the readers about how much he misses Mia by saying how he got her to go camping and they shared their fears with each other.(171)
Adam got into the world of music when he was 12 and he got his first guitar for bis 12th birthday. Since then Adam always dreamed of being rock star and that's what he got.(175)
Liz was Adam's first band member. Then she gathered the rest of the band that exists now and Adam got to become famous with this band. Now the band mostly Mike are not getting together with Adam so he says in different hotels and flies on different airplanes then them. The band is not as attached anymore... how much longer will they exist? Adam wants someone to tell him to quit the band but then there will be no more Shooting Star because Adam wrote all their music.(195)
Will Adam quash the the band or fix the relationship between him and Mike
When Mia tells Adam why she broke up with him she just walks away. I wonder if Adam will follow her and everything will go back to how it was 3 years ago or go back to when Mia and Adam are in different places. Will Adam go back and hide in his room and be tentative because the news will really hurt him or will he be understanding. While the 3 years Mia was not him he was very vex at her and at himself a little bit. (200)
When Mia woke up from a coma she was a lummox, because she was disoriented and clumsy. she wasn't sure what happened and for her to stay Adam made her an eloquent, fluent and persuasive promise, Will he regret it? (200)
Forman’s descriptions of emotion allow the reader to empathize with the character. In the book there are many examples that show how powerful the characters emotions are and the readers can even feel it. One example is when Adam wakes up and tells himself, “... It’s just one day, one twenty-four-hour period to get yourself through”(3). This is very strong to start the book of with because later on Forman goes on and uses a different language than other writers. She gives her characters different voices than other writers would because she wants to make the readers feel like they are experiencing it too. Readers sense how Adam feels, they are being put in his emotional state.
In addition, Adam, after the 3 years passed, becomes a world renowned musician so he feels like he is rushed and nervous through everything he does because he is so busy. Adam feels, “Jittery is how I normally feel. Jittery I’ve gotten used to… I’ve been feeling something else. Like I’m about to be sucked into something powerful and painful. Vortexy”(4). Forman uses short sentences to really show the feelings of Adam. This feeling gets passed onto the readers because it is written so strongly. One of the things Adam has on his busy schedule is interviews. Adam got so angry with the interviewer that he even, “ ... pick it (recorder) up and slam it against the table, shattering it, and then dump it into a glass of water for good measure”(24). This quote shows that Adam was furious with Vanessa prying into his life. In this part of the book Forman uses dialogue and flashbacks. The flashbacks give Adam feelings that did not happen to the reader but Adam’s reactions transfer to the reader. The way that Adam talks about how he feels also gives the reader the same emotions as Adam is going through. The two writing techniques combined together let the reader be in the book too.
Around the middle of the book, Adam finally meets Mia. He walks in and he doesn’t, “...have time to feel embarrassed because Mia is here again, standing in front of me like when we still shared the same space and time and bumping into each other, though always a happy coincidence, was nothing unusual, not the slightest bit extraordinary”(69). Forman wrote this sentence with a lot of statements that have the similar meaning to really stress to the reader how Adam really feels. With these statements the reader senses exactly how Adam feels.
Lastly, after Adam and Mia spent their day together. they come to the bridge. Mia starts explaining why she broke up with Adam and Adam still thinks that it was wrong of her so he starts yelling, “I CAN’T DO THIS ANYMORE! I scream louder than I’ve ever screamed in my life, so loud my breath is knocking down trees in Manhattan, I’m sure of it”(190). Using capital letters and an explanation point at the end shows how powerful Adam’s emotions are about the situation. The readers know that and become sensitive to the situation because he expressed it in such an explicit way. Readers feel like they are the ones standing on the bridge with that piece of them saying let her go and the the other piece saying you can’t lose her again. With Forman using different writing techniques, the readers are able to live the life of the characters.
(7) The story is told in Adams perspective, but I think that she did this so that we can get Adams side of what happened to Mia.
(14) Adam's band is now known world-wide. It sounds like everything is all good, but there seems to be something bothering Adam.
(15) Vanessa is know trying to make Adam break and tell who a specific song was for, but I think that Adam doesn't answer because I think he wrote it for Mia.
(20) Vanessa has now crossed the line when she started talking about Mia and him. I don't think that he is going to burst-for now.
(50) Adam is in the Carnegie Hall and had heard Mia play, now the usher is telling him that Ms. Hall would like to see him. I wonder what's going to happen next?
(63) Now I just found out that Mia dumped Adam, not the other way around. Why did she dump him?
(69) Mia and Adam are somewhat finding out that they still have some feelings for eachother, but why won't Adam tell Mia how he feels instead of acting like a maniac with someone in his head. Choosing for him what is right and what's wrong.
(90) Now I know for sure that Adam still has feelings for Mia because he has been fantasizing about being alone with Mia for 3 years. Even though he has been fantasizing, why doesn't he look deep into his heart and ask himself, "Do I still love her?"
"After that you're on your lonesome until London. Now that I think about it, most of my conversations are with myself now a days." I think this is important because now that he is going to start his tour, he is going to be more lonely and he probably wont be happy.
"We just want one guitar track on 'sugar' just to give it that little something extra so fans buy it all over again. It's amazing what the music business has turned into." This is important because when Adam and his band started, they weren't in it for the money, they did it because they loved music.
(110) Mia and Adam are in are going around and seeing things.
(116) Mia just took Adam to a hidden bowling alley where she likes to hang out. The bad thing is she can't bowl because her arm hurts.
(116) Mia had put the names on the score board to Kat and Denny her parents name, and Adam almost died.
(116) Why are Mia and Adam NOW starting to catch up on things?
(116) I think it's to late for them to be catching up because they haven't talked in like 3 years. Someone has to make a move.
(123) Adam is enjoying his time with Mia because he still has feelings for her. I wonder if he's going to make a move?
(123) Mia and Adam are friends, but they are having an awkward time together. Mia has tried to leave because she was nervous but Adam wouldn't let her. I know he has feelings for her, but does Mia still have feelings for him?
(123) They are enjoying every second of their time together. If I was one of them it would not only be awkward, but I would have tried to leave like Mia tried to do.
"I already feel alone.....The only problem is i felt the same way the other night at the concert. in front of 18 thousand fans, alongside the people who, once upon a time, were part of my family." i think thats important because it shows that they are changing.
"Theres probably one hundred grands worth of guitars in this room but none of them sound as good as my old Les Paul Junior- the guitar id had for age the one i d recorded our first albums on the one that in a fit of stupidity or hubrt or whatever id allowed to be auctioned off for charity." I think he is saying that things are changing now and he liked music more before when he wasn't as famous as he is now.
Adam has changed a lot since before he was famous and popular in if i stay. in if i stay Adam's band was like a family and now he describes them as "collateral damage"
in an interview, the interviewer is asking Adam what happened during the bands "black hole" and he doesn't know what to say because it's about Mia.
now in the interview, she is bringing up Mia and asked what happened in high school between them and adam said they just knew each other from music, and didn't say anything about them dating.
In the interview, she is talking about Adam's new girlfriend Bryan and i dont think that he is in love with her and i also do dont think he wants to date her because it says "We are never together for more that a week" and also because he wont answer any questions about her.
I dont think that they will end up staying together because he says "even if i was 41 and we were celebrating 20 years together, I still wouldnt want a kid with her."
"how do i tell any of them that the music, the adrenaline, the love, is gone?" Adam thinks after the interview. i think that he was never happy after him and Mia broke up but he never realized it until she started talking about his girlfriend now and mia.
Mia is recovering and her grandparents are taking care of her
Mia left Adam after she went to Juilliard. (47)
Adam and Mia just saw each other and everything was a little weird. (60)
Mia and Adam have been hanging out a little and its kinda weird
now they are talking about when Mia was in the hospital, she was in a coma for four days and they didn't tell her about her parents and teddy until the sixth day.
Adam went to see Mia and he said he wouldn't see her, he would just hear her. He said he has to see her.
the day that mia found out that she got into juliard she asked for her cello that afte noon and her grandma was afraid she would be too caught up in that and not her recovery.
Even thought mias grandma didnt want her to play cello during her recovery, adam got it for her because he thought it would help her.
Mia and Adam are in a fight about Mias family history getting in the public and everyone will know about it.
Mia is open about how she misses Adam to Adam and Adam misses her too, so then why is Adam pretending to her as if he doesn't miss her either (111).
I truly think that Adam is definitely better off with Mia then Bryn because he knows so much more about Mia, plus he always holds things in with Bryn (114).
Why would Mia take Adam bowling if she can't even bowl because of her elbow? (101).
Mia and Adam are fighting about why they ended things in the first place.
Why is the place where Mia is taking Adam so important? It's already getting him furious that she refuses to tell him. Maybe it's where they met? (117)
Adam is telling the readers how Mia and Adam met.
When Mia left to go to school, Adam stopped caring about life because he didnt have to be there for her anymore.
Everything is finally starting to work out for Adam and Mia
"More and more lately it seems as though the majority of my conversations are with myself" (pg. 25). Mia is starting a music career but still seems like she has nothing anymore.
Mia remembering more about her and Adams relationship more than Adam definitely says something (120). And she seemed like she didnt.
Mia never came back home for christmas in december
Mia thinks Adam does not care anymore
Adam and Mia are in another huge fight and its not working itself out
Kim went to see Adam
"Its just one day. one twenty-four-hour period to get yourself through" (pg. 17). This quote made me think that Mia is no longer enjoying life and that something made her forget how amazing life actually is.
"I'm due at the studio to lay down a few final guitar tracks..." (pg. 18). This quote shows that Mia is still following her dream of playing music, which shows that she never lost interest in it.
"...I have a lunch interview with reporters from Shuffle" (pg. 19). Mia's music is getting more and more popular which is a good sign and a good thing for her.
Kim went to visit Adam, and she said that she still sees mia
Adam said to kim "tell me then friend. Did Mia your friend your BFF did she tell you why she dumped me? Without a word? Did she happen to mention that to you at all? Or didn't I come up?" I think Adam said this to her because after the accident him and kim formed a friendship and it hurt him that she didn't visit or talk to him either
Adam knew that he owed Kim an apology, but didnt know what to do or say
before each chapter there are four lines on Adams songs
during the chapter it explains the lyrics that were at the beginning of the chapter, and the reader understands why Adam wrote those lyrics.
Adam is saying he wishes he was never born because he wouldnt have to deal with any of this
Mia saw adam smoking and she asked him for one
Adam said that Bryan was jealous of Mia even though they weren't together and they never met eachother
Adam is saying how him and Bryan met.
in if i stay, mia told the story. In where she went Adam tells the story.
Adam said that he feels like the only reason he became famous was because he was dating Bryan
"Not just that. I can't do it. Any of it" (pg. 25). I think Mia can't handle any of this anymore. I think she feels pressured and thinks that she is no longer that into doing this stuff.
"Needle and thread…" (pg. 27). I noticed that in the beginning of each chapter, there are a few lyrics from Adams songs.
I noticed that this story is about Adam's point of view and "If I Stay" was about Mia's point of view.
Mia and Adam are out camping and she is really scared because she feels like she is a target for hunters out in the woods. She doesn't feel safe.
After Mia realized that nothing was out there, she calmed down and her and Adam are talking about their childhoods.
Adam is talking about how him and his dad use to go hunting when he was kid. He never told Mia that when they were together.
Mia told Adam that she was scared of losing him and he told her that she would never lose him but she was still scared of it.
Mia's life is fickle and an example is that Mia moved away from her whole life in California and now she has no parents or siblings to live with (6).
In the first few pages so far the story is in Adams perspective and I think the author did that so we can see how Adam is feeling inside of him (12).
Even though this book is in first person the author is putting her thoughts into italics. I think he is doing that to show what she really thinks and what she is saying to Vanessa. ( I am doing this on my iPad so I can't put it in italics ) " Actually, you want to know my theory?' She drawls. (Italics) Not particularly. (No italics) " lay it on me"(18).
Mia and Adam both have to leave for tour so Mia is taking Adam on a "fair well tour"
Mia and Adam went to the train station first, then the Statue of Liberty, then the Brooklyn bridge
They are at the Statue of Liberty and Mia is saying that she hears her parents and Teddy. That she talks to them and they respond to her
Mia hasn't been back home since she left the first time and she says it's too hard and everyone she would go there to see can go to her
Adam is telling us his favorite memory with Mia. It is the first time they went camping together
Adam asked Mia why she didn't call or text him at first and she tried to walk away without answering but he stopped her. She yelled "because I hated you"
Adam asked why she hated him and she said "because you made me stay."
adam Is thinking " how does she know? I didn't tell anyone what I told Mia when she was in a coma"
mia told Adam that it would have been easier to die in the beginning then have to deal with losing all her family
Mia is sobbing and suddenly I realize.... This is what the farewell tour is really all about- Mia completing the server acne she began three years ago b
Why would Mia ask to see Adam if she has a restraining order on him? Let alone why does she have a restraining order on him?
In book one the author used a timeline and in book two the author is using regular chapters. I think he used regular chapters in book two because it didn't really matter about the time but in book one it did (78).
I think that throughout the book it is going to be somewhat like the first book. For example there is going to be parts in the past and in the present. It will fill up the 3 year gap they missed in the beginning (90).
Some of the chapters have verses from the songs and I think the author does that to highlight what is going to happen in the chapter and what it is about (91).
Some of the chapters have verses from the songs and I think that the author does that to highlight what is going to happen and what it is about (91).
I think that Mia and Adam are going to end up dating each other again new because on the cover it says,"A gorgeous portrayal of rejection and rekindled love" also becaus the night is going really good (124)
I think that Mia is going to show Adam something that had to do with music because they both love it and it's ine of there connections (147).
Sometimes the author uses cliffhangers after some chapters. I think he does that so people will keep reading.
Essay: In the book, Where She Went by Gayle Forman, it starts off with Mia in New York at Juilliard, following her dreams of being a cellist. Adam, Mia’s boyfriend in the previous book If I Stay, is following his dream of being in a band in L.A. Adam and Mia had a strong connection in If I Stay, but when they went their separate ways, they were no longer together. But when Adam finds himself in New York, Mia and Adam meet again for the first time in a long time. When they find themselves in the same area, all their memories from past times came back to them. Their connection was so strong that, even though Mia and Adam separate, their bond never completely breaks.
In the book, it says “... as though the Rsvp to her invitation is in question. Then I shrug, put on a good show, ‘Sure, why not?’ ” (pg.82). Mia had invited Adam to go on a farewell tour with her and he didn't know if he should go or not. After he says yes, him and Mia start to talk for a little bit about the place they will be performing at and why she loves it. At this part of the book, Mia has a boyfriend and he is from Juilliard. Adam doesn't know anything about him, which makes him have a cryptic image of him. But Adam didn't care about her boyfriend, he still wanted to hang out wit her, so while they are talking, Adam asked Mia if she would want to go bowling with him. But when Adam asked her that question, Mia smiled, but then shooked her head. Because Adam wanted to spend time with Mia, he offered to bowl for her or she could just go with him and watch him bowl. Mia went with Adam to bowl and when they did, they had to pick names. “You Pick, I say, because I'm not exactly sure how much of the past we are suppose to be reliving” (pg. 84). This shows that by them going bowling, Adam feels like they are reliving the past and that there still might be a connection between them.
After Mia and her boyfriend break up, her and Adam get back together. Because of this, they went camping. When they were just about to fall asleep, Mia heard a noise and got really scared. “I just feel like a sitting target out here… I don't know, people with guns. All those hunters” (pg. 117). Adam realize how scared Mia was, so he tried to make her feel better by telling her that half of Oregon, where they are right now, hunts. Adam told Mia that when he was younger, he use to go hunting with his family. But Mia was still scared, but not because of that anymore. She just felt defenseless. But eventually, Adam told Mia that she was safe and she had nothing to worry about. Mia told Adam that he had never told her about hunting, which made him go into great detail about his childhood and when he hunted with his family. The camping trip that they took together, brought them closer. Instead of going to sleep that night, Mia and Adam just stayed up the whole night talking about their childhoods and just told each other things they have never said before. After this camping trip, Mia and Adam’s bond was so strong and their connection was unbreakable.
Even though Mia and Adam got separated for a long time, their bond never broke. By them reliving the past and telling each other everything about their childhoods, the bond just kept getting stronger and they realized, their connection could never break.
In the novel Where she went by Gayle Forman takes place three years after everything in if I stay happened. Adam and Mia see each other for the first time since they broke up, so they both have a lot of strong emotions throughout the novel. Forman shows us the deeper emotions of her characters so that we better understand their motivations and actions.
In the beginning of the novel Adam had become depressed and un-happy. Throughout the novel we learn that it is because Mia just stopped talking to him one day, also he isn't happy playing music anymore. "Every morning I wake up and tell myself this: It's just one day, one twenty- four hour period to get yourself through." (1) I think this is important because before him and Mia broke up he was happy and he loved playing music and even before he became famous.
In the novel Adam explains to us that him and Mia would talk on the phone and email every day, but after a while, she wouldn't answer or write back. Adam and Mia went on a "goodbye tour" before they had to leave to go on their own tours and when they were on the Brooklyn bridge, we learn why Mia never responded to Adam. "Because I hated you..... You asked me to stay.you begged me to stay...."(189) I think this is important because it is the reason that Adam and Mia's relationship ended and the reason that Adam was so angry throughout the novel.
Lastly, when Mia and adam were on the Brooklyn bridge after Mia told Adam that she hated him he screamed as loud as he could “I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE……. I feel like my heart is about to burst.”(190-191) When Gayle Forman wrote the quote in capital letters it shows that Adam has strong feelings about Mia and that he was mad that she said she hated him. Also, when he said ‘I feel like my heart is about to burst’ I think that shows that he cares about how Mia thinks of him.
When Forman shows us the characters deeper emotions it allows us to feel like we are actually apart of the story.
At the end of book one Mia was dispirited, for she didn’t have any want to live, since her family died in a car crash.
Why did Adam move away if he still has feeling for Mia? (18)
Adam and Mia haven’t seen each other since Mia left for collage. (20)
Adam was dwelling on the fact that Mia left him and he didn't know where she was, for Mia didn't give him any explanation why she was leaving.
I think Mia feels very safe when she is with Adam because she has a fear of going camping, but she finally said she would go with him. (174)
I think Gayle Forman does a great job using vivid imagry and language to picture Adam and Mia and the pain they were going through. (185)
I notice that this book is told by Adam's point of view, unlike the first book which is told in Mia's point of view. (the whole book)
I predict that Mia and Adam are going to get back together because I think they are very similar internally, even though they don't notice it...yet. (185)
I think Mia is being a little unfair that she said she left because she hates Adam for making her live. I understand why she wanted to go with her family, but it's not Adam's fault. Adam just wanted her to be strong because he loved her. (201)
I think that Adam doesn't want Mia having flashbacks to when she was in the hospital because Adam cried and was very nervous that Mia wasn't going to live, but Mia hasn't seen Adam be "sensitive" or "warm" before. Adam doesn't want Mia to see his other side. (214)
I think it was really sweet of Mia to buy Adam's guitar when he sold it because Mia still wanted a piece of Adam to be in her life. (230)
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
