in Orisis and Isis, Osiris had fallen into a trap by his brother set. there is one thing i don't get about this , if Osiris is a god then wouldn't he be able to escape. Or would be able tell that it is a trap
In Pyramus and Thisbe 2 children had lived in the same house divided by a wall. Soon they had fallen in love but their parents disapproved of them dating. So one night the tried to elope. But when Thisbe got there she saw a lioness ready to attack so she ran away. Pyramus came late and thought his bride to be dead so he stabbed himself with his blade. Later Thisbe comes back to see her beloved about to die so she takes his sword and stabbed herself also. I think the message of this story is that they were so in love they couldn't be without each other
In The Achilles heel there is a a man named Achilles ( which means no lips due to him not getting drinking his mom's milk) rise and fall. A little after he was born his mom put everything but his heel in a river that made him immortal. Soon he would fight in the trojan war but died due to an arrow to the heel. The message of this is how even the strongest warriors would have a weak point.
In the Spinnging contest There is a girl named Archane who is amazing at sewing. But she did not have any modest so she said " No god can weave as good as my not even Athene". So Athene had challenged the girl to a weaving contest. The girl won but due to her not knowing good sportsmanship Athene had cursed Archane by turning her into a spider. The message of this story is to not brag about being skillful in one thing
In Narcissus there is a boy named Narcissus who was as shallow as he was handsome . One day he goes to the woods and meet a nymph named Echo who couldn't speak unless using the words the person she is talking to use. Narcissus tells her " Even if you were Aphrodite herself,I wouldn't let you come near me. So Aphrodite cursed NarcissusTo become head over heels in love with himself, so when he saw his reflection in a pond he started to fiend over his reflection. Soon after not eating or sleeping he killed himself . So the message of the story is not to be an arrogant , self center jerk
In the tale of The Ugly Wife , King Arthur is sent on a quest by his mortal enemy Morgana le Fay to see what a women wants the most. Arthur and his nephew Gawain took almost a year to find out but they didn't find the true answer until they meet an extrermly ugly who know the answers but sir Gawain would have to marry her. King Arthur gave the right answer to the black knight who became free from his curse. Also from charity from her new hubands the ugly women became beatfuil. So the lesson is that beautil is skin deep.
In The Gorgon's Head there is a king named Polydectes who loved a women named Diane. But with her short tempered demigod son, Perseus. it would be a challenge so the king had a fake wedding , since Perseus was poor he could not buy a present so the king demand a Gorgon's head. Perseus went on the quest and came back in a single year . Since Diane didn't want to marry the king he made her his own palace washer woman. So Perseus sprinted to the palace and showed the Gorgon' head to the king , turning the once wicked king into a stone statue. I see that the message of this story is that all the bad things you do to someone will come back to haunt you
on page 80-87 , Pandora's Box , There was a titan named Prometheus who loved the humans so much he would send knowledge of Mt. Olympus to earth. One day the titan had brought fire to the humans, Zeus was so anger he gave Prometheus a deadly punishment. Everyday an eagle would eat his liver and on that night his liver would grow back for an everlasting torment. So Zeus had made Pandora who snuck into Epimetheus house and opened his black box which unlessed a great evil. The message of this story is sometimes curiosty can be a bad thing
On 174-181 Nidud the cruel there is an evil king who finds a great blacksmith named Volund who was a descendent to elves. The king and his family had captured the blacksmith to use for their on purposes. Volund wanted revenged so he build wings so he could fly. but before he went to the kings palace he killed both of his son and used their skulls as goblets. The lesson of this story also that what goes around comes around
On page 32-39 The Seven Pomegranate Seeds, there is a goddess named Demeter who had a daughter named Core ( later changed to Persephone ). But in the deeps of the underworld see had been admired by Hades himself. Hades then kidnaps Core and makes her his wife. Soon after a year of Demeter saddness , Hades gives up his wife. But since she ate seven seeds she has to stay. So Zeus made a compromise that Core stays on earth for 9 months but stays in the underworld for 3 months. So the message of this story is it is better to have a good thing for awhile then not at all.
153-158 the dragon and Saint George . There was once a dragon in the village of silane who lived within a cave. The people were so scared they gave the dragon two sheep a day until they ran out of sheep. So the king had to give a number to every child and on every Tuesday a number would be called and the child with the number would be feed to the dragon. So on one of the lottery days he found out her daughter was chosen so he asked Saint George to rescue her. So when Saint Georgesaw the dragon he was shocked of how non menacing he looked. So Saint George captured the dragon he took it back to the village as a pet. So the message of this story is that rumors aren't always true

Curiosity is both our greatest strength and our weakness as human beings. In the story Pandora 's Box , There is a woman named Pandora who was made from the gods to Torture the Titan , Epimetheus . She might had been as beautiful as a goddess but was extremely shallow , lazy and unintelligent . But then out of curiosity of what was inside the titan's box was she snuck into the chamber which the box was located and opened it . Once the box opened the box all of the great evils had been released such as the seven sins, organized crimes and so much more.
With curiosity , Pandora was tempted to by greed thinking that what was inside the box were jewel which would make her extremely wealth and but even when Epimetheus told her no. So even after his warnings Pandora still gave up to curiosty. When a person gives up to their curiosty it might end up bad.
But curiosity can still be a good thing. Curiosity is the thing that helped man create or find out something new. Like Christopher Columbus who thought that the earth wasn't a square and proved it while discovering America. With curiosty people try to learn about a certaint subject. Curiosty is such an amazing thing
in the tale Thor's stolen hammer ,Thor had lost his hammer and entrusted Loki , the god of trickery, to help him find it. Loki had found the hammer with a giant looking for a bride . So Loki dressed Thor up to look like a woman to get the hammer back. But due to Thor's pride as a warrior it was an all out brawl when he got back his hammer. So the listen of this tale is how to suck up all of your pride in order to get something done
in the tale of The riddle of the Spinx their is a Spinx near a village who tells a riddle and if the person answers in correctly they die. But one day someone came along and answered the riddle correctly so the Spinx had died. so the lesson is how even if one person can't find the right answer someone will
