Observation:Micheal is having a flash back when he was a little kid in Cuba (109)
Micheal and Carlos got some random guy to pretend to be his uncle so Mr. Gibbs doesn't question him where his dad and uncle are(117)
I think the guy that is suppose to be like Micheal grandpa is going to mess up and give away there secret(121)
The guy that's pretending to be like Micheal grandpa is taking it to seriously and getting into actor mode.(123)
Mr Gibbs came into Micheal's house and he is taking with the fake grandpa (145)
I think when Carlos got arrested he got arrested because of something he did with Ramos (168)
Carlos, Micheal's brother was getting money for charging people extra when they get in the stadium so they can make money(173)
Micheal wants to give a note to El Grande the baseball player on the Yankees to give to his daughter (177).
Micheal is proud of him self for hitting a triple and getting the score up to 5-5(206).
I think that Micheal will win it for his team at Yankee Stadium against Fordam Road(213).
Apperently Micheal has a very strong arm and is an amazing pitcher (5-6).
Micheal has traveled from Cuba to the U.S. on a boat and now he lives in the Bronx (6).

When the thief was getting away he ran across center field and Micheal belted him in the back of the head all the way from home plate (4).
Carlos yelled at Micheal over a simple question but quickly simmered down. I think he is being stressed out, juggling between different jobs all the time.
Manny and Michael finally met Ellie for real and learns that she has a very strong throw, and is very friendly despite running away randomly when Michael was talking to her. But she has to leave to random places at random times for unknown reasons so I am suspicious about her (56).
Micheal is getting a lot of fame from catching the thief. I think that all of the attention will allow the "Official Persons" to find that he is living alone with his brother.
The person from the Westchester team, Justin is very obnoxious. I think he will get ejected if he keeps taunting the Clippers and throwing pitches near their head (62).
Now that Mr. Gibbs wants to meet Michael's father who has been dead for three months they need to do something. Manny said that they should hire someone to play the part of being Michael's dad.
Some coaches have sent a complaint to the league saying that Micheal is not 12. I think they are jealous that he is so good and are trying to get him banned (87).
Mr. Gibbs thinks that Micheal's dad ran out on them. He didn't believe the story that he is in Florida with his sick brother (110)
Uncle Timo seemed very childish but when he really needed to act like Papi he was amazing and even got himself to look like Papi (135).
The Clippers beat the Robins and are in the Semis. But because they don't have Micheal, I think they will not go far (165).
Everyone has problems. They could be big or small. Miguel Arroyo is a 12 year old young Cuban boy who was immigrated from Cuba. His “American” name is Michael. During his years in America, Michaels dad died in a furious car accident. Now Miguel was alone and had one person to live with which was his brother. Miguels brother Carlos was under 18. That meant he wasn’t a true adult. If a parent true adult didn’t live with kids, they would be sent to a foster home. With the Arroyo brothers case, they could be separated and sent back to Cuba. With all these problems, baseball helped Miguel get through his life problems.
One of Miguel’s problems was that he had to he had to keep a secret that his dad didn't die. Everyone including coaches, and friends keep asking him where his dad was. The only person who knew about this secret was his best friend Manny, and Mrs. Cora (a really good neighbor). Michael kept lying about his dad. He said that he was visiting a sick uncle even though his father was really dead. If anybody found out that Michael and Carlos were living alone and by themselves, they would be sent into a foster home or worse. In the book it says on page 38 “Will they really separate us if they find out? I can only tell you what I read on the internet said Carlos. If someone finds out about Papi, then we go to family court. And after that, little brother? Then it’s up to them. The Official Persons. If they can't place us in a foster home. Maybe back to Cuba.” This quote shows that Miguel has a big problem. He doesn’t know what to do. If someone finds out about his problem, they will send him away. To deal with this, Michael used baseball to calm him down. For example on page 92 it says “Baseball made Michael feel normal. It made him feel as if he had turned back the clock, that things were the way they it used to be, before papi had died. This quitte proves how baseball makes Miguel stop thinking about his problems. Instead of thinking his problems, Miguel feels like everything is normal and he has no problems.
Another problem that Michael had way that he upset Ellie (El Grande’s daughter which he really liked.) El Grande was Michael’s favorite player on the Yankees. It was his idol, and he wanted to be him when he grew up. Michael had met Ellie while they were playing baseball with Michaels friends. She was very quiet, but good at baseball. Michael late became her friend. Then one night he was watching the Yankees game. All of a sudden the commentator said that El Grande’s family was coming. Michael then saw Ellie on the screen. Miguel was furious. He was mad that Ellie hadn’t told him that she was his daughter. On page 130 it says “why would I be mad about a little thing about you lying to me? He sounded like someone else. And still didn't care. He felt like he was in some silly schoolyard fight, just with words, and wanted to beat her with to the punch.” In this quote Michael was mad. After this Ellie was sad and mad. She left and didn't talk with Michael again. This was big because Ellie was someone who he actually liked. She was almost like him, and now he disappointed her, because of his stupidity. To forget this problem, Miguel used baseball again. On page 59 it says “You Told me you were running after he said Manny. Shhhh Michael said. The he listened to John Sterling, the Yankee announcer, his voice excited, said Heeeee stuck him out, and El Grande was out of the inning. At least someone was winning something today. This quote proves that Michael used baseball to ignore Manny and stop thinking about his problem. Miguel used the baseball game to put make everything positive.
In Conclusion, Michael Arroyo got help from baseball so his problems couldn’t get him. Baseball let Michael relax and stop thinking about everything bad. He became positive. i got a message from this book. If you have problems, don't always think about them. Relax. Everyone has a problem at least once in their life. Sometime you should substitute something that you really like and replace it with the problem. When doing that you will have some ease in your life.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
