(Pg.11) Boy named Bud is being bullied and had been punched in the side of the ear and fell to the floor. He curled up like a turtle by pulling his knees and arms close to his chest. Todd the bully started kicking him while he was laying on the floor. The teacher saw him but did nothing and as soon as Todd walked away, Bud pulled his shirt up to his face so that nobody can see that he was crying.
Bud lives with his family and his whole family always fights. He tries to avoid going to his house by walking around town and focusing on other stuff. He is around 10 years old but he really doesn't say. He doesn't really have to many friends, so he rarely talks to anybody and a lot of kids hate him. He is a depressive boy and wants to feel loved.
Bud complains to his mother or parents that they named him after a flower and he does not like that because people make fun of him at school. He finally told them and he wants to change his name but they said no and he is really mad about that.
Bud's parents are dead now so this comment was when he was younger. He used to complain. Now his parents are dead and he travels a lot with his friend and sometimes alone.
Bud runs as fast as he can to see if he can make the line because it closes at around seven O clock. He finally gets to the food shelter and he tries getting to the back of the line. He soon realizes that it was longer than he had expected. When he finally gets to the end there is a bodyguard who told him that he cant get on the line. He said the line was full and the last people on line where gonna be the last. This means that bud can't get any food and he must wait till the next day.
Bud and his friend Bug travel on a train for about 3 days and they finally made it too Hooverville. They find other people like them that are adults and they feed Bud and his friend. They have to learn how to clean the dishes in order for them to get to eat the food. Then they rest from their trip on the train.

He's has told his friend Bug. Bud also thinks she might go in for a mss at some point and he is gonna be afraid that he might not know what to do or how to react.
Bud and the girl just finished the dishes and the girl keeps on touching Bud. He fells uncomfortable but he does not say anything because he thinks she will get offended. They finally finish and they began to talk about how beautiful the day is and he tries to avoid making contact. She begins to get mad and smack him on his hand. They both ended up walking away from each other and went to bed.
Bud and his friend Bug catch the train in the morning trying to not get caught. They make it on safe and sound and begin their journey.
Bud and Mr. Lewis are on their way to the hospital and they are delivering a bag or pint of blood. They took the blood from a friend and they had permission to do so. Mr. Lewis said that he had spoken to Buds step-father by sending a telegram to where he worked. Bud was in shock because he hadn't spoken to him in a long time ever since he ran away.
Bud begins to do missions or favors for people he doesn't even know and his first mission was to begin to find a bunch of missing photos that a women had lost of her dead husband. She said that he should check her house first in case she misplaced it. After that she wanted him to check all her friends or neighbors houses or ask them.
Theories and Conclusion
Age does not determine the impact one can have on the world. Bud Not Buddy is a book based on a boy who proves everybody wrong about him accomplishing his dreams. Everybody tells him that he is too young to complete is destiny but he ends up proving them wrong. Bud goes traveling around the country to do a few missions that he was determined to complete. One of the things he tried to to do was make a new friends from a different area then he lived. it took him a while but he finally did it. His best friends name was Bug and he was so much like Bud himself. They both had the same dream and they decided to travel with each other to help each other out. Bud and Bug really wanted to find out how their parents died and who or what did it. They dont even know if they were murdered or were in a car crash. Bug and Bud traveled at least 10 miles until they got to where they wanted to go. They did all the research they could and they ended finding out that Buds parents died in a car crash and that is why he lives in a foster home with his siblings. Bug on the other hand never found out how his parents died and he was very disappointed but a little proud for Bud. On there way back to their livings, they came across people that totally disrespected their dreams and they told them that they accomplished them. A few people believed Bud but not all. Bud did not care, he was proud of himself and Bug for finding out that what had happened to his parents. Everytime they went on the train they had to surreptitiously get on the train because they had to pay to get on but they had no money whatsoever. “ Bug we got to get on that train but be careful, if you get caught, the lady will report you and you will be sent back to where you came from.” They went to sneakily, the train driver didn’t even see them, but then again he is very old. when they got back to Bud home town he told everybody that he had completed his mission, some people believed him and some did not. "mamma wasn't looking like she had rocks in her jaw because the hat was so fake that a real cowboy would have laughed at you for wearing it".
What did he mean by her having rocks in her mouth or looking like she had rocks in her mouth. Why would somebody look like they have rocks in there mouth. Anger? disappointment?
"because all the smells have blended together to make a new one". What does the new smell smell like? is that new smell so different that he is not able to depict what it smells like?
" i'd practice on the back of my hand before"
I think its kinda weird that he has practiced on the back on his hand i mean who does that?!
pg-60"Something stepped on a little twig. as soon as the twig cracked my eyes snapped open".
He must have amazing reflexes to wake up from such a little noise out there in the open. i wonder how and why he has these reflexes? I think it is because he was staying in that home for so long with a lot of bad kids his reflexes have become really good encase somebody is after him.
pg-69 "the mouth organ man said-your welcome to join us but we all pitch in here."
I wonder why he let them in just like that you would think after living outside homeless and jobless he would trust less people. So then why did he trust them so easily? I think it is because he is a good person and he trusts them because of the way bud talked to them with manners and such.
pg-79 " i knew this man had to be my father why else would she keep all of these?"
Well she could have kept these because that is her brother or her friend or her father (unlikely).
On the other hand it could easily be his father because friends don't usually give somebody a heart attack or stroke or whatever his mom had.
"theirs always fruit to pick out west theirs always enough money to make by out there"
How do they know this? It could not be true and there could just not be anything. I think that there is not much were they think there is good stuff.
What had really happened was that I woke up from a good sleep because it felt like a steam locomotive had jumped the tracks and chug-chug-chugged its way straight into my nose.
what happened to make him feel like this?
did something happen in his sleep? or was it just the eraser up his nose.
did what I do every night before I go to sleep, I checked to make sure everything was there. The way there are more and more kids coming into the Home every day, I had to make sure no one had run off with any of my things.
Why did he not trust his new family? was it cause he does not trust them? or he trusts nobody?
