Theories and cloncloutions
Lincoln Peirce uses a combination of comedy and action in order to show us that middle school is fraught with ridiculous situations designed to form our values.
In the book Big Nate goes for broke by Lincoln Peirce emphasizes the fun in middle school. In the book Big Nate goes for broke Lincoln Peirce puts a lot of funny moments in the book. Also Lincoln Peirce puts a lot of action in the book like when put a snowball fight scene between P.S 38 and Jefferson middle school. Also a funny moment is when Lincoln Peirce wrote a scene when there was a school dance at P.S 38 and Big Nate forgot his clothes for the school theme. Also in that scene the fire alarm went off and the sprinklers came on and everyone got wet. Lincoln Peirce also puts a lot of funny moments in middle school to design to form our values. One scene was when Big Nate had to stay at Jefferson middle school because his school was flooded. Then it was lunch time and Big Nate and his friends walked to the lunch room and Big Nate saw that one of his classmates was getting bullied and Big Nate helped him by jumping in the air and grabbing the but costion and gave it back to his classmate but Big Nate broke his wrist. Lincoln Peirce does all of this to form our values in middle school. Another example is when P.S 38 got flooded and Big Nate had to go to Jefferson middle school and Big Nate classroom was a trailer house. Also there was one day when one of Big Nate’s friend brought his super cool sled to go snowboarding and then all of a sudden Jefferson middle school kids came to the same hill. So the Jefferson kids bullied Big Nate’s and his friends and then the jefferson kids came on the sled and went down the hill and then you hear a pop noise and the sled popped and Big Nate’s friend was devastated. That is so mean that Jefferson middle school kids popped Big Nate’s friend ball and then Jefferson middle school kids buluy P.S 38 kids. Lincoln Peirce does all of this to form our values in middle school. Here is another example of how Lincoln Peirce puts comedy and action in order to form our values an example is when it was Big Nate’s school dance and the sprinklers went off in the school and everyone got soaked. Then everyone had to leave the dance and it was snowing outside and Big Nate’s friend who was Big Nate’s date to the dance could not find her shoes. So Big nate had to carry her to her house in the snow that is a day when everyone will remember. Another example when Lincoln Peirce puts action and comedy in order to form our values in middle school is when P.S 38 beat Jefferson middle school in a sports game that was the first time when P.S 38 beat Jefferson middle school in a sports competition. That is a day where kids in P.S 38 will remember that day and form a value over that day. And that is how Lincoln Peirce puts action and comedy in his writing in order to form our values.
