The children in the book seem to be unhappy about being on alcatraz
The characters go check out the morgue
Natalie is going to the school (25-28)
Moose the main character is scared straight when he meets the warden and goes over rules
Moose the main character plays ball and makes a friend named scout
Moose meets theresa's siblings and finds ut that one plays ball well but she's a girl.Natalie got rejected from her special school and misses Flanagan got angry.
Moose and his friends get busted for selling out the island laundering and Mooses punishment is losing his baseball stuff even though he didn't participate in the schemes
Natalie has her b-day but she had been rejected to the school
My final thoughts on this book is that it was funny and entertaining but sad in parts such as when Natalie gets rejected to the Esther p. Marinoff overall this was a good book
Perseverance ultimately leads to success. In the book Al Capone does my shirts perseverance is a key factor to success since there were failures along the way.In the book the main character Moose is faced with failure and what ultimately makes him succeed is perseverance.Him and his family in the book were faced with one goal and that was to get Natalie an autistic sister to a place that would help her the Esther P . Marinoff school “All so my sister can go to Esther P. Marinoff school”.Moose is also faced with another problem he’s on Alcatraz and he clearly states that he doesn't want to”I want to be on Alcatraz like I want poison oak on my tongue” he ultimately has to find a way to get used to Alcatraz and everything on it including major crime lord Al Capone who he also wants to meet.Moose and his family were all excited for Natalie's’ interview with the school. They brought her there early in the morning through the boat system on Alcatraz and came prepared with “Mcgregors illustrated animal book.He brought it with him because it has a good index.Nothing pleases Natalie more than having him read the index of a book to her.”That book just insured Natalie not freaking out, out of no where since books with huge indexes make her calm.Though we got her into the school she didn't stay very long and then we needed to get her.Apparently Natalie was loud enough to wake every one in the area and that was a problem time for a new plan. After this Moose is faced with a challenge with a new buddy he met at school his friend wants convict baseball that was hit over a wall.Though it’s taking forever for moose to find and all the time he goes out and looks for the baseball. One day when he just finished looking for the baseball he can’t find Natalie and than finds her next to a convict who gives Moose a baseball but than moose bolts out of there with Natalie worried to death about what the con might have done to Natalie.Than after awhile they attempt to get Natalie into the Esther P. Marinoff school again after many sessions with a women that seems to be helping Natalie. They than again get rejected and Moose tries something ultimately very risky and it has to do with a favor from Al Capone himself.Moose walks up to the wardens office one day and tells the warden the problems they faced with Natalie and the Esther P. Marinoff school.Than Moose lays the bomb on him and ask him if Al Capone could help himself since the man had many connections the warden obviously refused. After this Moose finds a way to get a letter to Al Capone. His mother checks mail going to inmates and drops the checked letters in a bag so all Moose had to do was drop a letter into the bag to Al Capone and maybe he could pull strings to get Natalie into the Esther P. Marinoff school. This than does happens and the school calls and they want Natalie to be the first child in the section for older children. This proves that perseverance ultimately leads to success because Moose and his family were challenged and they kept pursuing their goal even after they had failed.
